We’ve just released Cube V5.4, and it’s packed with some awesome new features, performance improvements, and a bunch of bug fixes that’ll make your experience smoother than ever. Let’s dive into what’s new!

🚀 New Feature: Keep Locked Measurements Visible

One of the new additions to Cube V5.4 is all about control and visibility. Locked measurements will no longer vanish just because their meshes are hidden. So, no more hunting for those key measurements—they’ll stay visible and accessible no matter what you do with the mesh.

🔧 Improvements: Faster and Smoother

We’ve focused on boosting performance in this release, and you’ll feel it:

Marking Calculations: Calculation time has been optimized, and we’ve reduced the number of triangles for markings. That means quicker, more efficient processing and a cleaner, faster workflow.

Shadow Curves: Shadow curve calculations got a speed boost too! Fewer points are generated now, so your process isn’t bogged down by unnecessary data. It’s all about making things faster and more precise.

🛠️ Bug Fixes: Squashing Those Pesky Issues

We heard you! Cube V5.4 also tackles a bunch of annoying bugs, making your experience even smoother. Here are the highlights:

Image Inversion in Marking: This button wasn’t working as it should, but now it’s fixed and functioning perfectly.

ZIP Export: No more duplicate points in your curves when exporting ZIP files, and exporting through Windows Explorer works like a charm now.

Curve Previews: We’ve fixed issues with poor curve previews in some cases, so you’ll always get a clear view of what you’re working on.

Ball Tool: The automatic repair during ball tool validation could take forever and mess up the mesh—fixed! Plus, freezing and crashing issues with the ball tool? Also gone.

Mesh Imports: We’ve addressed a ton of issues related to mesh imports—views not updating during zoom, incorrect orientations from NEO imports, and even problems with skeleton creation. Everything should now import as expected, without the headaches.

Miscellaneous Fixes: From freezing issues to problems with the ball tool and mesh simplification during CPV imports, we’ve smoothed out all these bumps for a more seamless experience.
