At Qwadra, we’re thrilled to share the exciting news of the recent launch of Luma 3.0! This marks a significant milestone for us, as we’ve dedicated extensive time and effort to incorporate valuable feedback from our customers and partners, resulting in a software upgrade that truly enhances user experience and functionality.

The Luma 3D Scanner stands as a testament to our commitment to innovation. Crafted with clinicians’ needs in mind, this lightweight device is the perfect companion for those with busy, on-the-go lifestyles. Whether you’re capturing wireless scans of patients or casts, or swiftly cleaning files for digital design, Luma empowers clinicians to take control of their patients’ outcomes. With seamless integration with Canfit Design Software, modifying devices directly on the tablet has never been more efficient.

Let’s delve into some of the exciting updates and new features introduced in Luma 3.0:

Updates to existing features:

Landmarks:

We’ve revamped the landmark feature, ensuring that they now appear in a logical order. This enhancement eliminates the need for constant shape adjustment, streamlining the scanning process for increased efficiency.

Texture:

The capture of texture in each scan has undergone significant improvement, resulting in enhanced scan quality and detail.

Improved Scan Session Save Folder:

Sessions are now automatically organized into an application data folder for each user. This optimization prevents automated cloud-based backup services, such as OneDrive, from inundating your cloud storage, ensuring smoother operation.

New Features in Luma 3.0:

Watertight Mesh:

Building on our commitment to user convenience, we’ve introduced a new feature that allows users to fill in all holes in their scans with a single operation. This time-saving functionality can be accessed within the “Tools” section of the software.

Fill to Plane:

We’ve incorporated an option to extend shape data from any hole out to a specified plane with a simple swipe of the finger, offering greater flexibility and precision.

Smooth Edges:

Enhance your scan quality with the new “Smooth Edges” button, which smooths all edges on your scan. This feature improves hole filling by eliminating rough edges in the mesh, resulting in cleaner, more refined scans.

Pairs Support:

Luma 3.0 introduces a new option to track bilateral scan pairs together, simplifying processing tasks. This functionality is particularly beneficial for creating insoles and leg/foot orthotics.

Multi-user Support:

Setting up Luma software has never been easier! With the new multi-user support feature, the software can now be installed for all users at once, streamlining the setup process for computers shared by practitioners.

In conclusion, Luma 3.0 represents a significant leap forward in the realm of 3D scanning technology. With enhanced features and new functionalities, we’re confident that Luma will continue to pave the way in the O&P industry. Join us on this exciting journey as we redefine possibilities in the field of orthotics and prosthetics with Luma 3.0!
